Group Project: Diorama Making

Instructions:
1. Create a diorama of your own choice. It can be Architectural Dioramas, Architectural
Models, Entertainment Dioramas, Game Dioramas, Museum Dioramas and etc.
2. It should be related to the following topics:
 Distance Formula
The distance between two points or objects must be observed
including the formula for finding the distance. Thus, points being used must
be visible.

 Midpoint Formula
Usage of the Midpoint Formula must be observed. The endpoints
must be visible and emphasized including the point exactly between them.

 Equation of a Circle
The center and the radius must be observed including the equation
of a circle.
3. Your choice of diorama should be based on your strengths, talents and abilities. It is
your choice what scene will you make as long as the topic assigned to you has been
applied.
4. Be creative and innovative.
5. Using of recycled materials is highly encouraged.
6. Write a brief scene analysis by explaining what the scene was all about where the topic
assigned to you must be applied. Write it in a 1/2 index card and taped at the back of
diorama.
7. Provide a sample problem using the formula.

Tips on How to Make a Diorama
1. Make a list of the items you’ll need and gather your supplies.
2. Make a rough sketch of your ideal diorama.
3. Choose a concept or theme.
4. Create your background first.
5. Build up the ground or landscape.
6. Add details to make the scene realistic
7. Set up the miniatures, if applicable.
8. Glue everything down when you’re happy with the arrangement.
