100kHz, and 1 GHz.
a) R=1kΩ b) C=10nF, c) L=1uH

4. Give expressions for the sine-wave voltage signals having

a) 10V peak amplitude and 1kHz frequency
b) 120Vrms and 60Hz frequency
c) 0.2Vpeak-to-peak and 2000 rad/s frequency
d) 100 mV peak and 1 ms period

5. A voltage amplifier with an input resistance of 20kΩ, an output resistance of 100Ω, and a gain
of 1000 V/V is connected between a 100kΩ source with an open-circuit voltage of 10mV and a
100Ω load
a) What output voltage results?
b) What is the voltage gain from source to load?
c) What is the voltage gain from the amplifier input to the load?

6. Figure 6 shows a signal source connected to the input of an amplifier. Derive an expression for
Vi(s)/Vs(s). Find the 3dB frequency for the case Rs=100kΩ, Ri=40kΩ, and Ci=5pF.
