BEST FIGHT

1. The Bourne Supremacy

The lead character fights a bad guy inside a living room, crashing into glass furniture and
windows. The bad guy produces a knife but is still strangled to death.

2. House of Flying Daggers 


Two men fight with swords in an autumn field. Their fight carries them into winter, as
they begin to use their bodies in addition to swords to fight.

3. Kill Bill Vol. 2

Two women fight inside a cramped trailer home. Using swords and household items to
battle each other, they crash through walls and fly into furniture.

4. The Pacifier
Two ninjas break into a house and the lead character must use household items and toys
in defense.

5. Troy
Hector and Achilles fight to the death in a battle of two great warriors. Swords and
shields are their only weapons.

BEST FIRE

1. The Aviator
An airplane crashes in the middle of Beverly Hills and the pilot is engulfed into flames.
The pilot is on fire and crawls out of the plane to safety.

2. Be Cool
Stunt man is lit on fire during the filming of a music video. A full fire burn is performed
among dancers and singers.

 3. Hostage
Two SWAT team members step into a closet with a gasoline soaked carpet. A lighter is
dropped and both men are engulfed in flames as they fire their weapons.

4. The Punisher
A propane tank is hit by a bullet and explodes. A stunt man is ratcheted back and catches
fire from the explosion.

5. Seed of Chucky
A stunt woman is on fire as she hits a 2nd floor railing and falls to the ground below.

BEST HIGH WORK

1. Catwoman
Woman is dropped off the side of a building. Using a descender, she unravels from two
wraps, crashes through a skylight and falls to the ground.

2. The Forgotten
Two stunt professionals perform a 180’ backwards descender fall off the side of a
building.
Nominees: John Copeman, David Shumbris

3. Ladder 49
A fireman rappels down the side of a building to rescue a man from the ledge of a
window. The two men hang onto each other as they crash through the window to safety.

4. Starsky & Hutch

A stunt man jumps from the roof of a 100’ tall building to the roof of a 70’ building. A
12’ alley separates the two buildings.

Two stunt men fall through the floors of an old building. One man is pushed out of the
2nd story barn doors and lands on the ground below.

BEST WORK WITH A VEHICLE

1. The Bourne Supremacy

A taxi is chased through the streets of Moscow, colliding into passing cars and resulting
in multiple crashes. The chase ends in a tunnel as the taxi and pursuing police car crash
into a divider.

2. The Punisher
A vehicle jumps across a rising drawbridge and lands on the other side. In an attempt to
dodge a girl in the street, it flips onto its hood.

3. Sahara
A jeep is chasing a high-speed boat. The driver makes an error and the jeep and its
passengers are sent flying into the water.

4. Spiderman II
Police cars and Spiderman chase two bank robbers. Police and civilian cars are sent
crashing and spinning into the streets. The bank robber’s car is eventually caught in
Spiderman’s web.

5. Taxi
A taxi and getaway car race through crowded city streets and cause many other cars to
crash. The taxi is forced to stop by skidding into a fire hydrant.

BEST SPECIALTY STUNT

1. Along Came Polly

Stunt man performs a base jump off the side of a Los Angeles building. Navigating
between buildings, he uses his parachute and lands in a tree.

2. Flight of the Phoenix

A man is sucked out of the back of a plane and falls 160’ to the ground below.

 3. Spiderman II
Doc Ock comes to life in the middle of an operation to remove his mechanical tentacles.
Doctors and nurses are thrown around the room, hitting walls and crashing into medical
equipment.

4. Taxi
As three cars race down a highway into oncoming traffic, they try to exchange a bag and

prevent the exchange.

1. Collateral
A taxi is driven into k-rail, skids and flips down the street and crashes into parked cars.

2. Spiderman II
Peter Parker attempts to jump from building to building but falls mid-jump. He falls into
clothing lines, swings into the side of the building and lands on the roof of cars below.

Two motorcyclists fight while racing down a road. As a semi truck approaches, one
motorcyclist slides into the dirt to avoid a head-on crash.

A Humvee jumps over a freeway divider. The vehicle flips, spins in the air and lands on
top of a stopped car.

5. Torque
Two motorcyclists fight and crash into each other. One motorcycle slides out and causes
the other stunt man to flip off his motorcycle.

truck. The boat comes lose and crashes into the red truck, while the blue Blazer flips and
crashes as well.
