Elliptio congaraea

Elliptio congaraea, the Carolina slabshell, is a species of


freshwater mussel, an aquatic bivalve mollusk in the family Elliptio congaraea
Unionidae, the river mussels.[1][2] Conservation status

Distribution
This species is endemic to the southeastern United States.[2] Near Threatened (IUCN 2.3)[1]
