Given are pictures of two parks that are different in various aspects. On one hand,
Park A boasts a children’s playground, where kids can have a fullbody workout by
stretching their limbs, climbing up and down, and sliding down from the top. The
ground is paved with soft pads, which can keep kids from stumbling or tripping over
something. Park B, on the other hand, is not equipped with any man-made facilities.
Instead, people can immerse themselves in nature as they stroll among towering trees
and on the lush grass, basking in sunshine while taking some time off.
My ideal park must cater to people of all ages and with different needs; there will
be toilets with shower facilities, a kids’ playground, and long benches and tables
dotted among plenty of greenery. For one thing, we are expecting a future with an
increasing percentage of elders, and probably also more of the homeless and the
financially disadvantaged. Aging population and widening wealth gaps are both by-
products, though unwanted, of the development of modern economy. An ideal park
must serve as a place for them to mingle, unwind, and for some, carry out their daily
routine. A kids’ playground is also indispensable, since young children need an outlet
for their excess energy. In brief, an ideal park must be a place where community
residents can take their mind off something upsetting or worrying and then go on their
way.
