playgrounds are essential facilities for children, it can assess the growth of a child. These facilities positively
affect the child’s physical and psychological aspects through socialization and interaction on children
between each other and the nature.

possibly near the community or the school to serve its purpose.

➢ Type – the playground should be appropriate for the target end user; it should have a child-friendly
atmosphere and has a theme for kids and educational features.
 ➢ Aesthetics – it should be design for kids has an educational
concept. It must have an educational feature to showcase its
purpose.

➢ Safety – the playground should be a safe environment for kids.

The safety of the kids is prioritized by providing a durable material
and security features such as fences, security system area, signages
and instructions and can also accommodate the parents for the
supervision.

➢ Adult/Parent-friendly – it should provide a place for parents to

sit and relax while supervising the kids playing.

➢ Child-friendly – it should be provided with kid friendly features

and provides sitting areas or benches, water fountains, sunshade devices, cafeteria or canteen,
and more features to accommodate the necessary things for the kids in the parks and playground.

➢ PWD-friendly – it should have a PWD-friendly features such as railings, ramps, signages, textiles,
anti-slip textures, and more.

➢ Landscapes – Sensory designs engage the senses through sight, touch and hearing. For those
kids who need sensory stimulation, colorful and textured landscaping features can help
emotional development. And bird-friendly bushes and trees can add audio and visual sensory
experiences to the playground.

These considerations are highly required in constructing a Children’s Park and playground”, it should be
