Coda, it is a comment or moral based on what has been leamed from the story.

Coda is
an optional part which is not always found in narrative text.

5. Language Feature of Narrative Text

Here are some language feature of Narrative text:

a. Using part action verb. Example : Climbed, turned, brought etc.

b. Using specific noun as pronoun of person, animal in the story. Example : The king,
The Queen, etc.

c. Using adjective which are for noun phrase. Example : long black, hair, two red apple,
etc.

d. Using time connectives and conjunctions to arrange the events. Example : then,
before, after, soon, etc.

e. Using adverbs and adverbial phrase to show the location of events. Example : here, in
the mountain, ever after, etc.

f. Using dialogue to elicit an emotional response from the reader.

Meanwhile, Anderson states that the language feature usually found in narrative text
are:

a. Specific characters. It means focusing on specific and usually individualized


participants.

b. Time words that connect to tell what they occur. Use of temporal conjunction and
temporal circumstances can be choice too.
