Meeting Notes : Eighth final project supervisor

What has been completed since last meeting:

1. Determination of the dissertation title

2. A brief explanation of what must be done before working on the final project

3. A brief explanation of the procedure for writing the final project

4. Refers to up-to-date literacy (year 2010 at the latest)

5. Create a unique project

6. As much as possible describe everything with pictures, for example, graphs

7. Read the paper 3-4 times so you can understand the material in depth

8. Productivity is much more reliable than any words to explain about improving something

9. Search again to the literature, what the people have been done in the 3 aims according to the project

10. Search about the basic design requirements

11. Use the British standard writing (ex. Analyze -> Analyse, Minimize -> Minimise)

12. As can as possible always answer a question with the data

(ex. The question is about the people who usually work to operate the crane and the answer I can

provide is by searching the data about the effect caused by human error in crane accidents)

13. Make sure to make an attractive project title

14. The abstract can be done after all the writing final report have been done

15. The abstract is a brief explanation from the writing final project report

16. Must be some of calculation on the project (important)

17. We do literature review to make sure the project up to date. Tips to do literature review:
First, find the aims of project, and then search the literature review related to the aims according to the
normal question:
- What have they done?
- Why have they done that?
- How have they done that?
- What is the main value or main output?
18. Methodology is all the way how are done to achieve project objectivity results.

19. Ask directly to the library if there are any issues accessing to the literature.

20. In the literature review mainly there should have introduction, background, and motivation.

21. In the end of the literature review there should have summary of the literature review.

22. Literature review should be divided according to the aims. (Put the main point the use to make the
objectives)

Any further discussions:

Recommended actions before next meeting.

1. Improve the progress of the report!

2. Put figures and graph can give more information and easy to understand than writing.
3. Add motivation on the literature review (why should do this project, what the output, what the
advantages and improvement doing this project)
4. Give a figure in the methodology steps i.e., draw conceptual design with hand drawing.
5. Rearrange for the aims become “(1) Design and basic calculation of overhead crane, (2) Adding
Arduino to improve the perform, (3) Testing to improve the health safety require to product”.
6. Divided the literature review according to the aims.
7. In the literature review summary that should be mentioned the two or three objectives according to
every aims.
8. The activity should be linked to the objectivities.
9. Make a report is like make a story how to build and achieve this project.
10. 16th March 2022 try to finish and modified this interim report better than before.
