Preparatory work

Disengaging clutch cable
Locking crankshaft in TDC position
Removing complete gearshift lever
Removing left crankcase cover
Removing clutch pressure plate
Core activity
(-) Removing complete clutch
Remove clutch cage (1), noting needle roller bearing (2) and
spacing sleeve (3).
Install drive gear (1) in clutch cage (2); the drivers (arrows) must
mesh.
Clean and lubricate the splines on the input shaft and clutch hub (3).

Klüberpaste 46 MR 401 11 00 7 660 831
Tightening torques
Driver to gearbox input shaft
M24 x 1.5 180 Nm
Adhesive (Loctite 648)
ATTENTION
Installation of the clutch plates dry
Burning of the clutch plates
Immerse new clutch disc package in clean engine oil.
Immerse lined plates (1) in engine oil or lubricate them with engine
oil.
Begin by installing steel plate (2) with the milled recess (arrow).
Install all steel plates with the sharp edge in.
Then install a lined plate (1) with narrow driver.

Install steel plates and lined plates with wide drivers alternately.
Install all steel plates with the sharp edge in.
Follow-up work
Installing clutch pressure plate
