Crimes and its prevention

1-the definition of crime:

If you do something illegal,(wrong /against the law) ,then you have commited a crime.

Most people commit a crime at some time in their lives,eg;driving above the speed limit,parking
illegally,stealing sweets from a shop when they were children.

2-Different kinds of crime:

:Drug traffiking
.Buying and selling drugs illegally*
.Counterfeiting
*the crime of making imitation bank notes,coins,jewellery.

Money laundering:

*transferring illegal or stolen money into an ordinary bank account,usually by a complex process to
avoid detection.

Forgery:

*the crime of coping money ,documents in order to decieve people.

Paedophilia:

*the condition of being sexuelly interested in children;sexualy activity with children.

Smuggling:

*offence of taking goods illegally,in or out of a country,without paying any tax.

Corruption:

*paying money or giving your favour to someone ,usually an official,so that he does what you want.

Mafia:

*a secrret organization of criminals that originates in sicily.

Theft:

General word for stealing things.

Robbery:
Steal from people or places.

Burglary:

Break into a shop,house,flat, and steal things.

Shoplifiting:

Steal from shops when open.

Murder:

Kill some one by intention.

Manslaughter:

Kill some one by accident.

Rape:

Force someone to have a sex.

Terrorism:

To attack somebody or a place for political reasons.

Football hooliganism:

Is a person who goes to a football match and makes troubles.

Arson:

Setting fire to something in a criminal way.

Hate crime:

Is defined as’the violence)of intolerance and bigotry,intended to hurt and intimidate someone
because of their race ,ethnicity,national origin,religion,sexual orientation.

unauthorised use of motor vehicle:

is comitted when a person takes ,operates ,or removes a motor vehicle without consent of the owner
includind joy -riding.A passenger in a stolen car may also be guilty if that person had reason to
believe the car was being used without permission.

Computer crime:

can be broadly defined as the unauthorised access to someone else’s computer system.most of time
such action is designed to steal government or trade secrets and sell them to bussiness rivals or
foreign governments.

Pickpocketing:
Stealing from someone’spocket or handbag.

Crime prevention:

What can governments do to fight crime(take action to stop crime)?

these things happen in some countries,although may think are not a good idea.

-Police carry ( have )guns.

-Police are allowed to (are permitte to) stop anyone in the street and question them.

-The courts give thougher punishments for crimes commited than in the past (eg;bigger fines,or
longer prison sentences than in the past.

-These is capital punishement (death eg:by electric chair or hanging)for some crimes.

What can individuals do to prevent a crime from happening( stop a crime happening)?

-Here are things some people, to protect themseleves and their property(=home and land),although
you may not think they are all a good idea.

-Don’t walk along dark streets late at night, (eg;midnight)on your own’alone).

-Lock all doors and windows when you go out.

-Don’t wear expensive jewellery.

-Leave lights on at home when you go out.

-Fit(install )a burglar4 alarm(= machine which makes a noise if someone enters your home).

-Make sure your money is safe ,eg;wear a money belt).

-Carry a mace spray.this is a chemical and if you spray it in someone’s face,it is very unpleasant .in
some coutries you are allowed to carry this type of spray.

-Put money and valuables (=valuable possessions) in a safe.(a strong metal box, which is very difficult
to open or break).

-Keep a gun in your house for self –defance(=to protect yourself if someones attacks you),if you are
allowed.

‫‪" .‬باسمك ربي وضعت جنبي وبك أرفعه إن أمسكت نفسي فارحمها‪ ،‬وإن أرسلتها فاحفظها بما تحفظ به عبادك الصالحين ‪4-‬‬
‫حياها‪ ،‬إن أحييتها فاحفظها وإن أمتها فاغفر لها‪ ،‬اللهم إني أسألك العافية" ‪5-‬‬ ‫ْت نفسي وأنت توفَّاها لك مماتها و َم ْ‬ ‫خلَق َ‬ ‫‪" .‬اللهم َ‬
‫‪ .‬اللهم قني عذابك يوم تبعث عبادك"( ثالث مرات )"‪6-‬‬
‫ك اللهم أموت أحيا " ‪7-‬‬ ‫م َ‬ ‫‪ " .‬باس ِ‬
‫سبحان هللا ( ثالثاً وثالثين ) والحمد هلل ( ثالثاً وثالثين )وهللا أكبر(أربعاً وثالثين ) " ‪8-‬‬
‫رب السموات السبع‪،‬ورب العرش العظيم‪،‬ربنا ورب كل شيء‪ ،‬فالق الحب والنوى‪ ،‬و ُمنزل التوراة واإلنجيل والفرقان‪ ،‬أعوذ بك" ‪9-‬‬ ‫اللهم َّ‬
‫من شر كل شيء أنت آخ ٌذ بناصيته‪،‬اللهم أنت األول فليس قبلك شيء‪،‬وأنت اآلخر فليس بعدك شيء‪ ،‬وأنت الظاهر فليس فوقك‬
‫ن واغننا من الفقر‬ ‫‪" .‬شيء‪ ،‬وأنت الباطن فليس دونك شيء‪ ،‬اقض عنا ال َّد ْي َ‬
‫‪" .‬الحمد هلل الذي أطعمنا وسقانا وكفانا وآوانا فكم ممن ال كافي له وال مؤوي" ‪10-‬‬
‫اللهم عالم الغيب والشهادة‪ ،‬فاطر السموات واألرض‪ ،‬رب كل شيء ومليكه أشهد أن ال إله إال أنت أعوذ بك من شر نفسي‪ ،‬ومن" ‪11-‬‬
‫أجره إلى مسلم‬ ‫َّ‬ ‫‪" .‬شر الشيطان وشركه وأن أقترف على نفسي سوءًا أو‬
‫‪" .‬يقرأ {ألم } تنزيل السجدة‪ ،‬و{تبارك الذي بيده الملك} "‪12-‬‬
‫اللهم أسلمت نفسي إليك‪ ،‬وفوضت أمري إليك وألجأت ظهري إليك رهب ًة ورغب ًة إليك‪ ،‬ال ملجأ وال منجا منك إال إليك‪ ،‬آمنت بكتابك" ‪13-‬‬
