Unit 2: Developing Skills and Techniques for Live

Performance

Practitioner Case Study

This unit requires you to gain an understanding of what is required of a

professional performer by researching in to and creating a case study of a
working practitioner. You will then take part in skills workshops that allow you
to develop and refine your performance ability. Finally you will apply the
professional and performance skills learnt to a practical performance
assessment.

To begin this unit you will complete a research project in to a practitioner of

your choice. It is advised that you select a performer that inspires you,
someone who has worked on stage and screen, don’t worry if you are not
sure, take a look at the list of suggested performers, this will be a good
starting point.
