The invention of video games has provided endless entertainment to humans and can
be considered one of the greatest inventions. Gamers have expanded on video games and
created genres and communities. Minecraft is the most popular game in the sandbox genre, a
game genre that gives the players more creativity and freedom than other game genres, so it is
natural that some people in the Minecraft community saw Terraria, another blocky game with a
similar style, and assumed that it was a copy. While Minecraft and Terraria are both insanely
popular video games with similar graphics and gameplay, they do have some differences that
Both games feature similar graphics. Minecraft and Terraria have a blocky graphic where
the world, some of the materials the player acquires, and building blocks the player get are

Another difference is the main focus of the games. Minecraft mainly focuses on crafting
and building because it has a less linear gameplay than Terraria. In Terraria, the main focus is
battling bosses and exploring. Terraria is more linear than Minecraft because Terraria has more
Overall, it is clear to see why many people compare the two games and think that they
offer the same gaming experience. While both games share similarities, their differences make
both games offer a completely different experience. Minecraft leans more towards crafting and
building and Terraria leans more towards fighting and exploring. So, which is more fun? Well, it
depends. If you are looking for a game that focuses more on fighting, then Terraria. However, if
you are looking for a more open and free game, then Minecraft.
