THE STORY OF HEINZ


A story of a middle-aged Ordinary middle class-man, called Heinz is Considered as an
example. His wife suffers from dreadful disease. Doctors believe that a special drug
which was invented recently and is available at the big pharma store, can only save his
wife.
When Heinz went to buy a drug, the drug-seller cost it’s around $2000, while the actual
manufacturing cost of the drug is $20. Heinz borrowed the money from friends and
lenders and could finally collect only $1000. Through Heinz pleaded a lot, the greedy
drug-sell refused to sell the drug at a low cost. Now, Heinz had no other option but to
steal the drug from the shop to save the life of his wife.

- If I am in the position of Heinz, I will do the same for the sake of my loving wife.
Although it is not good to do that things but when I actually know how greedy the
drug-seller is, I will definitely do that. Before that scenarios happen, I will try to
ask first the authorities regarding of the mark up prices of the drug-seller and if
there is possible to make down the price of the drug, I will be more than happy to
buy more of it but if nothings happen, sorry not sorry I will steal the drug.
At this stage, individuals (especially
to the young children) are mainly
concerned with avoiding punishment
and following rules to obtain
rewards.

At this stage, individuals become


aware that others have their own
needs and desires, and they begin to
make decisions based on their own
self-interests.

At this stage, individuals value the


opinions of others and seek their
approval. They strive to be good and
kind to others.

At this stage, individuals develop an


understanding of the importance of
following laws and social
conventions to maintain a functional
society.

At this stage, individuals believe that


laws and rules are social contracts
that can be changed if they are not
beneficial to society. They value
individual rights and freedoms.

At this final stage, individuals develop


a moral code based on universal
principles of justice and human
rights. They may violate laws that
they see as unjust or inconsistent
with these principles.
