As I interviewed and shared to the farmer, my co- teacher and about this Heinz
dilemma they have the same response, just like Heinz did they would also do the
same because according to them, they will do everything for their loved ones even
that actions can harm or imprison them. They have this principle that they don’t want
to have regret at the end. They don’t want to have “what if’s” in their lives. As long as
they can save the lives of their loved ones.
Also, in my opinion if I were in Heinz shoes, I would have done the same thing.
Heinz did everything in his power to save his wife the legal way but it is important to
note that legal doesn’t always equate to being right. Heinz did what he thought was
right, considering his circumstances and he deemed his wife’s life more important
than the consequences he would he did the right thing. But we also put in our mind
that in every action that we will do there is always a consequence. So, we must be
open and accept the consequences in exchange of our actions. I also believed that
the end doesn’t justify the means. So, if we do such actions even if the intention is
good we must prepare ourselves because people’s perspectives are different. We
cannot please everyone and that is human nature.
