TOPIC OF INTEREST:The effectiveness of Baking

soda,Vinegar, and Toothpaste as our cleaning items

The effectiveness of Baking soda, Vinegar, and toothpaste as
our cleaning items Vinegar and baking soda is a cheaper and
more effective way of cleaning. Other cleaning products are
harmful to people’s health and the environment. Vinegar and
baking soda are natural and economical, while other cleaning
items are toxic and expensive. Vinegar and baking soda clean
just as good or even better than daily household cleaning
products. Vinegar is acid based. Vinegar comes from a
biological process where grains, fruits, and vegetables are
broken down and turns carbohydrates into acetic acid. Vinegar is
not harmful to the environment because it is biodegradable.
Vinegar wipes out bacteria, germs, and molds. Vinegar can
break up water mineral deposits because vinegar is an acid. It
can clean drains, showers, and sinks. Baking Soda is a good for
cleaning because it is a mild alkali, which means it can get rid of
grease and dirt. When removing dirt from any surface use a
sponge, water, and baking soda to clean it. Baking Soda is a
great cleaner for plastic, steel, chrome, and glass. Baking soda is
non-toxic because it is pure and an all-natural product. It is safe
to use around children unlike other cleaning products. Instead of
just baking soda and Vinegar, I decided to add toothpaste to it, if
it will make difference to baking soda and vinegar. Toothpastes
generally contain the following components: Water (20–40%)
Abrasives (50%) including aluminum hydroxide, calcium
hydrogen phosphates, calcium carbonate, silica and
hydroxyapatite. Fluoride (usually 1450 ppm) mainly in the form
of sodium fluoride.

THE KEY PEOPLE OF THIS STUDY: Aaron Leong,

Mr.Dahlhausen, and K. Moharamzadeh.

METHODOLOGIES OF THE PREVIOUS STUDY:

1. Pour baking soda where you are going to clean
2. Then spray the baking soda with vinegar
3. Let it sit for a few minutes
4. Then wipe with a sponge Coffee stains:
1. Spray it with vinegar
2. Then simply wipe it down with a sponge or towel Mildew on

5. Wipe with a sponge.
WEAKNESSES AND STRENGTHS OF THIS STUDY:
This study focuses on cleaning our things in our houses,
such as oven, washing machine, sink, and curtains that got
stained, etc. Due to having difficulties in finding test
subjects, not all kinds of thing in our home can get clean
with this mixture. Vinegar, toothpaste, and baking soda is
cheaper and more effective way of cleaning. The
contribution in my target research study, and the
difference from the previous study that they conducted: I
researched that Baking soda, vinegar, and toothpaste
that. . Vinegar wipes out bacteria, germs, and molds.
Vinegar can break up water mineral deposits because
vinegar is an acid. It can clean drains, showers, and sinks.
Baking Soda is a good for cleaning because it is a mild
alkali, which means it can get rid of grease and
dirt.Toothpaste contains mild abrasive additives that
combat microorganisms and fight plaque. It will be
different to the previous study, because there was a
mixture that I added that will also helps us to clean.
