Q1. For the closed traverse shown in the figure below, (ABCD) is symmetric with (AEFD)
(about x-x` axis). The coordinate of A=(2286.48, 1722.23). Determine the coordinates of
other points.

Q2. For the traverse shown in the figure below, the coordinate of A=(1747.25, 1761.78), and
B=(1854.63, 1738.43). Determine the coordinate of other points.
Q3. The table below shows the field data for closed traverse ABCD. The direction AB is to
the West. Compute the coordinates for all other stations. (Note: The observed angles
were measured counter-clock wise). Also find the relative accuracy and linear closed error?

Q4. A tunnel is to be run from station A (928.53, 1699.83) to stations (B) and (C). The
azimuth of AB is ( ) and the observed angle at B is ( counter
clockwise). (G) is another defined station with coordinates (1046.21, 1723.63), determine
the most economical way to connect the tunnel from stations A, B or C to Station G.
Hints: AB=67m, BC=87m, economical way (having minimum distance).

Q5. Find the shaded area of the piece of land shown in the figure below.
All required data shown in the table below.
Note: All dimensions and numbers are in meter (m).
Q6. For the data given in the table below, estimate cut and fills earthworks.

S=1, b=12m

Q7. Determine the shaded area shown in the figure below;

Given: (BCD) is an equilateral triangle, coordinate of A=(10,10), B=(22.27).

Q8. The coordinates of points A, B, C and D of a closed traverse are shown in the table
below, Determine:

1. The azimuth of AB, BC, CD and DA

2. Area of the traverse ABCD
3. The internal observed angles A, B, C and D
Q9. The bearing angle of sides for a closed traverse ABCD are given below, determine the
observed internal angles:
