How to test branding site

What is a branding site?

Branding sites also called contact Us page of businesses.
Branding sites contain content more than functionalities. A standard
branding site explains
● Why should someone contact them?
● How can they help solve their visitors’ problems?
● An email
● Phone number
● A short form using some fields.

Here are a few steps to test a branding site.

1) Check Spelling
It is the easiest step. As described above a contact Us
page contains content more than functionality which describes
their business. Therefore it is important to check spelling
mistakes. To check spelling mistakes in a branding site copy
content (ctrl+A) and paste in a new Google doc and press
ctrl+alt+x. This feature of google docs helps us to check spelling
and grammar mistakes.

2) UI testing
In this phase we check the design of the site, as whether
the developed site is according to the provided design or not.

3) Content from document

In this part content of the documents is matched with the
content on the site.

4) Platform (Devices)
Platform refers to the devices.
There are three platforms

● Desktop

Desktop platforms have their roots in the shape of
resolution.eg.1080,1360 etc.

5) Redirections
On the web site, directions is a technique for moving
visitors to a different web page. Redirections present on the sites
in the shape of buttons and links. Basically we have to check
whether the button works according to his defined feature.
6) Cross browser
In cross browser, test the developed site on the different
browsers to check its correctness and responsiveness.
