*My name is Juvel C. Orquinaza from Group 3 of BSN 1A, and now I
will be performing the Hand washing Procedure.

The Purposes are  
 To diminish number of microorganisms on the hands
 To reduce the risk of transmission of microorganisms to clients
 To minimize the risk of cross-contamination among clients
 To minimize the risk of transmission of the infectious
microorganisms to oneself

The Equipment needed for the following procedures are:
(Arrange na siya and tinuturo mo) 
 Soap
 Running water
 Orangewood stick (optional), but we may use the toothpick
temporarily for cleaning our fingernails.
 Waste disposal materials: trash cans or bags

---For Assessment.

1. Prepare and assess hands.

(Pakikita mo ung hands)
*By removing your jewelry and checking your hands if there is
a cut or wound*

For Planning.
2. Assemble all articles needed.
(Tinuro ung equipments na naka-arranged).
*To save time and effort.*

3. Remove the wristwatch and rolls up sleeves if necessary.

(Remove watch)

For Implementation.
4. Stand well away from sink.
(Distance).
*It is full of microorganisms. If hand/s touches the sink during
hand washing we must repeat the procedure.*

5.  Turn on knob or hand-operated faucet with use of paper or

tissue paper. (Manipulates pedal or lever to turn
appropriate type of faucet open.)

*To avoid contamination in our hands and regulate the flow of
water*

6. Discard used tissue paper/ sheet of paper in paper

receptacle (if Applicable).
(Tinapon yung tissue paper)

7. Wet hands thoroughly by holding them under running water.

Holds hands lower than the elbow.
(Hinugasan ng tubig yung kamay)
*Keep hands and forearms lower when washing, so the water
flows from the wrist to the fingertips.*
 8. Pick up soap bar from soap dish (adapt procedures
depending on resources.)
(Pick up soap and Rinse mo ung soap muna)
*Rinse the soap first because it might have microorganisms
before lodging out*

9. Place the soap under running water and forms a rich lather.
(Pabulahin yung soap) 

10. Rinse soap bar before returning it to soap dish.

(Rinse yung Soap bago ibalik sa lagayan) 

11. Use firm, rubbing, and circular movements to wash the

palm.
* Palm to palm* (10x)
Back and wrist of the hand (10x)
* Back of the hand* (10x) (tigisang kamay)
*Wrist of the hand* (10x) (baliktaran tas tigising kamay) 

12. Interlace the fingers and thumbs

*Interlace the fingers and thumbs*(10x) 
*Rub each finger* 
Moves the hand back in forth. (Interlace position) 
*Interlace the back of the hand* (10x) 

13. Rub the fingertips against the palm of the opposite hand. 
*Rub mo ung fingertips* (10x)
*But we can use the toothpick as temporarily to clean the
tip of our fingernails*

14. Rinse the hand under running water.

(Rinse na ung kamay).
*Remember that Rinse your hands from fingers to wrist thoroughly
underflow of running water* 
 15. Pat dry the hands and arms with the use of a paper towel
or clean cloth.
(Kumuha ng tissue)
*When drying our hands, we do not use the same side of paper towel.
Side A for the Palm and Side B for the back of the hand. Repeat*

16. Turn off the faucet using a new piece of tissue paper.
(Kumuha ng tissue para pertain faucet) 
Discards the tissue paper in the appropriate container.
(Tinapon yung tissue)
