‘Wizarp: SCHOOL OF MACHINATION Wizards of the school of machination eschew both the purely academic pursuit of knowledge and the dangers of adventuring. They favor strategic machinations, preferring to win a battle before it even begins. These wizards make expert \ar advisors and effective politicians. Unlike diviners, wizards ofthis school do not wait to react o the whims of fate. They are prepared for every contingency and are rarely, deprived of what they want (Cuanismatic INTELLECT At 2nd level you are well-prepared for every possible path a conversation may take, Choose one Charisma skill (Persuasion, Deception, or Intimidation} You may use your Intelligence modifier instead of Charisma when making those checks. Lesser ConTINGENCY Starting at 2nd level you know how to plan for almost. anything you might face ina given day. Whenever you finish a long rest, you can choose one spell of Ist level or lower that ‘you can cast, that has a casting time of 1 action, and that can, target you. You cast that spell expending the spell slot, but it doesnt come into effect. Instead, it takes effect when a certain circumstance occurs. You deseribe that circumstance when you cast the spell ‘The contingent spell takes effect immediately after the circumstance is met for the first time, whether or not you! want it to, and then contingeney ends. ‘The contingent spel takes effect only on you, even ifit can normally target others. You can have only one ofthese spells, ready at one time. The level of spell you can cast with this feature increases by one when you reach Sth level in this| class, again at 7th level and then once more at 9th level ‘MASTER OF WARDING Starting at 6th level you are a master of preparing for any outcome with magic. You can east Glyph of Warding without ‘expending material components or a spell slot. Once you cast Giyph of Warding inthis way, you cannot do so again until ‘you finish a long rest. I'you want to cast the spell at a higher level, you must expend material components and a spell slot, as usual ADAPTIVE CONTINGENCY Beginning at 10th level you are able to prepare for any situation with a wide variety of magic. Choose a spel list from another clas. When you use your Lesser Contingency feature, you can choose a spell from this class’ spell list as Jong as it meets the requirements and restrictions ofthat feature, and you have some sort of reference for copying the spell into your spellbook, Because of the difficulties of using non-wizard spells, you are only able to cast spells learned in this way as part of your Lesser Contingency feature. Uxrimare CONTINGENCY At L4th level you can plan for the ultimate contingency. Add the Simulacrum spell to your spelibook. When you cast ‘Simulacrum, it takes half the time and half the gold, though ‘you must still expend a spell slot. Additionally, when you would drop to zero hit points while ‘your simulaerum is within 60 feet of you, you can use your Reaction to sacrifice your simulacrum, destroying it and reabsorbing its life force to leave you with 1 hit point instead of zero.
