Problems I may encounter when researching and
planning
 The surveys throughout my research
and planning not being answered
properly.
 Struggling to keep up with the amount

 The music I use not being allowed on
YouTube or in the competition due to
copyright issues.
 Not having a full and technical
understanding of my chosen genre and
other aspects of my production.
 Making sure I follow any of the
parameters for the age rating of my
film.
 Making sure I keep to my deadlines, so
I don’t fall behind.
Planning for practical and technical problems
Problems I may encounter when researching and
planning
 Forgetting to publish my website and
losing work.
 Loosing or damaging a memory stick or
SD card.
 Using unreliable actors.
 Being unfamiliar with the equipment I
use, the techniques I want to use, or the
styles I want to film in.
 Problems with the weather on filming
days.
 Not having, or having trouble with
equipment.
 Actors not knowing crucial information
when filming.
 Not having access to and/or forgetting
any props needed.
 Struggling to find a location that is
suitable and available.

How I plan to resolve these problems
 Send my surveys out to a large amount
of people, so I can delete any bad
responses but still have enough to
analyse.
 Making more, but smaller more
attainable deadlines for myself in order
to not feel too overwhelmed.
 Make sure I check the copyright rules
on the music for youtube and the rules
for copyright on the competition.
 Make sure all my research is in-depth
and fact checked. Also make sure that I
understand said research.
 Check the BBFC website for
classification information.
 Try not to get distracted and plan
specific times to complete work.
How I plan to resolve these problems
 Always remember to publish or save my
work.
 Make sure I keep my memory stick and
SD card in a safe and secure place at all
times when not in use.
 Make sure my actors are trustworthy
and reliable because I hire them to work
on the production.
 Do any test shoots for anything I want
to include in my production that I may
not know, or not be very good at doing.
 Double check the weather on the days
leading up to filming.
 Make sure any equipment I need I either
have, buy or rent on time to film. Also
make sure the equipment itself is in
good condition.
 Make sure things like the script, times
and locations are given to the actors as
soon as they are ready.
 Start looking for a location early on in
order to make sure
I have just finished my research and have now started planning and getting ready to film. The
research was a slow process as I struggled with the volume of research that needs to be done. I have
used my half term to catch up in order to be ready to film at the time I planned too originally. I was
correct when I filled this form in at the beginning, I have struggled with the deadlines to complete
everything and fell behind. My research is also not at the standard I hoped it would be. However,
this is something I might be able to improve later on, but right now I need to plan and film in order
to stay on track. I have completed the critical research in order to make sure my production works
with the genre and the themes it includes.
