1. Introduction

Early childhood development

For every child, early moments matter.

Science shows that life is a story for which the beginning sets the tone. That makes the
early years of childhood a time of great opportunity, but also great risk.

Children’s brains are built moment by moment, as they interact with their environments.
In the first few years of life, more than one million neural connections are formed each
second a pace never repeated again. The quality of a child’s early experiences makes a
critical difference as their brains develop, providing either strong or weak foundations
for learning, health and behavior throughout life.
Early childhood offers a critical window of opportunity to shape the trajectory of a
child’s holistic development and build a foundation for their future. For children to
achieve their full potential, as is their human right, they need health care and nutrition,
protection from harm and a sense of security, opportunities for early learning, and
responsive caregiving like talking, singing and playing with parents and caregivers who
love them. All of this is needed to nourish developing brains and fuel growing bodies.
When we give children the best start in life, the benefits are huge, for every child and for
the societies we share.
1.1 Problem statement

The problem is in the shaping of the generation

It is not easy to raise a child it is a big challenge for parents as they need to act the same
way with the child with everything and that can be a source of problems.

More recently, mothers are engaged in work from staying at home so children’s are
raised (grow) with their babysitter or elders (grandparents). The babysitters or
grandparents have problems in terms of fulfilling the emotional and psychological needs
of the children. that it’s unhealthy for a child to be spending so much time away from
their parents, and being taken care of by someone else. Perhaps something like daycare
or being taken care of by a relative would be better.

In Ethiopia most of the time the babysitter who catch the children’s are:-

 Not advanced in education

 They don’t know much about raising children
 Having family problem
 They don’t have language skill

1.2 objective of the study

“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.”

(Albert Einstein)

Close the gaps in our knowledge of young children’s development.

“Bringing a change in behavior”

It will be difficult to fix the defective behavior below (it takes a lot of time to lay the
foundation) we were worried about the foundation then it will be easy to build
(stretching) the building.

Allow students (children’s) to engage in

 Choice
 Collaboration
 Critical thinking
 Creativity
Specific Objective

 The building reflect childlike qualities and be very “home like in feeling”
 Schools, neighborhoods, communities, and culture all shape a child. Connections
a child makes within these networks contribute to their development.
 A system of education for young children that seeks to develop natural interests
and activities rather than use formal teaching methods

It takes to help children survive, thrive, and fulfill their potential, from early childhood
through adolescence
