The portal reported that Nydia Quintero de Balcázar, 91 years old, is a Colombian philanthropist and social leader,
born on October 22, 1931 in the city of Neiva, department of Huila, is recognized for being the founder of the
organization Solidarity for Colombia, and also for being the promoter of the Solidarity Walk.
She is the daughter of Jorge Quintero Céspedes and Adhalía Turbay Ayala, she married for the first time in 1948 with
her maternal uncle Julio Cesar Turbay and in 1986 she divorced, from this marriage she had four children, Claudia,
María Victoria, Diana and Julio César. Later in 1986 she married for the second time to Gustavo Balcázar Monzón.

school in Neiva, Las Terciarias Dominicas in Funza, El Rosario nuns' school in Bogotá and after the death of her
