Project Summary
The European Joint Masters of Science in Management and Engineering of Environment and Energy + (ME3+) is
a 2-years master programme of 120 ECTS (3 academic semesters (30 ECTS each) devoted to acquisition and
consolidation of knowledge and skills and a 6-months industrial or research internship (30 ECTS)), taught in
English and offering multiple-degrees that allows students to study in at least 2 European countries. It aims to (i)
train high-qualified students to work in industrial or research sectors, in internationally-oriented working
environments, where the multi- and inter-disciplinary approach is essential to act in the energy and environmental
transitions, together with the ability to deal with multi-cultural management and working practices. The
programme provides particularly knowledge and skills to create tomorrow’s leaders in the integration of
renewable energies, the environment, the circular economy, the smart cities and industry 4.0 well related to the
Green Deal of the European Commission and the labour market; (ii) provide the students, an international
network of professionals and alumni essential to act as a top-skill collaborator in Europe and outside Europe; (iii)
develop to high-level skills required for scientific research; (vi) improve the quality and attractiveness of European
Higher Education Area in management and engineering of environment and energy by benefiting from
cross-fertilisation of solutions and methods proposed by all the ME3+ stakeholders and by increasing the
internationalisation of Higher Education Institutions; (v) involve the expertise of employers and professionals. The
ME3+ consortium includes five prestigious European institutions (IMT Atlantique, France; Budapest University of
Technology and Economics, Hungary; Free University of Bozen/Bolzano, Italy; University of Trento, Italy;
University of Borås, Sweden) and 26 associated members (including industrial and academic partners).
