TEXT: 2 KINGS 6:24-7:1-20

THEME: GOD IS FAITHFUL IN PROVIDING OUR NEEDS IF WE TRUST IN HIM.

INTRO.
- The children of Israel were rebellious, hard headed and stiff necked.
- They suffered because of their sins, God punished them, but they did not listen to God's voice.
6:24-33 tells us how wicked they were.
        - A mother cooked her child just to survived form the famine.
- God dealt properly for Israel
+ He punished those who disobeyed Him.
+ He trained those who obeyed His voice. what kind of training?
            -ILLUSTRATION: LEVEL UP
                - From grade 1 to grade 2.
                - Our faith should increase.

-This passage teaches us not to worry if we are faithful to Him, for we have a heavenly Father
who loves us so much and He will take care for our needs.
- This morning we will discuss the reasons why we should trust the Lord and not to worry for our
lives.
- this challenge is for the faithful in the Lord, and a call to be faithful to our God.

- If we will be faithful to Him then He will take care our needs.

- Why should we not worry to our needs?

I. GOD IS READY TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEM.

-God knows our needs.

-God has great concern for His people.
+ Our God is not just concern with our physical needs; He is more concern with our spiritual
well-being.
+ He knows what is most important and less important.

- God is gracious to His people.

      - God still shows His kindness towards us though we sinned against Him.
      - He sent messenger.
   -
- The problem is not that God can't supply our physical needs, but we are not ready to accept
the blessing of God by faith.
- It's God's desire to bless his PEOPLE.
- He is always ready to solve our problems if His people will return to Him.
According to Matt. 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and
all these things shall be added to you.
- Their is nothing to worry if we are seeking first the kingdom of God.

II. GOD IS NOT LATE IN PROVIDING OUR NEEDS. 7:1-2

anak?
- Let's learn from the life of the Israelites during the time of Elisha.
- Why they suffered?
* The answer to this question is; because they rejected the LORD as their God, so they suffered.

- Why it seems that the provision of God was late?

This is part of God's discipine.
- God warned them that He would punish His people if they failed to live up to the terms of His
covenant.
- Among His punishments were military defeat and famine, and Israel was now experiencing
both, because they were not faithful to their God.
-
ILLUSTRATION: God is not late:
-Naay koy kaila nga nabalaka jud siya sa iyang sukahimtang.
- Nag-ingon pa gani siya gaabot lagi ang supply pero late.                                ?- Late ba ang
provision sa Ginoo alang nato?
- Sa daghan nga mga panahon dili ra kita kahulat.
- God has a perfect timing.
    - all we need to do is to trust and wait for His perfect timing.

INTRO:
                  - Good morning,                                          - Happy Lord's day.                                        - Sunday
should be the Lord's day.

- We should gather every Sunday to worship the Lord.

- We can only worship the Lord if we trust Him.
- Not all of us trust the Lord.
- There are people who did not acknowledge that there is God, and we called them atheist.
- There are people who believe that there is God, but did not acknowledge Him as Lord and
Savior of their lives.
- There are people who trusted the Lord as their personal Savior, but sometimes they failed to
surrender their whole being.
- Sad to say that even balievers, we, sometimes failed to trust God.
- During the time we failed to trust Him, then we worry for our situation, we can't wait for His
perfect timing.

We will continue to study the reasons why we should trust God and not to worry when we
are in difficult situation.

I. GOD IS READY TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEM.

-God knows our needs.
-God has great concern for His people.
- The problem is not that God can't supply our physical needs, but we are not ready to accept
the blessing of God by faith.
- It's God's desire to bless his PEOPLE.
According to Matt. 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and
all these things shall be added to you.

II. GOD IS ALWAYS ON TIME IN PROVIDING OUR NEEDS. 7:1-2.

- He is not late.                    - He has a perfect timing.

III. GOD IS ALWAYS PRESENT WHEN WE ARE IN GREAT TROUBLE. 7:6

- Where is the LORD when we are in the midst of problems?
kinabuhi?

    - In Psalm 13:1,2 David asked God how long He would wait before answering his petition. He
also felt ignored by God and forgotten.
    - But in the last verse he still hoped in the Lord.

The psalmist, assured that his prayer had been heard, resolved to rejoice and
sing to the LORD for giving him salvation and for dealing bountifully with him.
(This is the first of several dozen references in the Ps. to God's being good.) He
fully anticipated the end of his long wait.

EUNICE -KUGOS KO.
     -
He promised that he will not leave us.
Heb. 13:5    Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such
things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.

- This is our greatest comfort, for He will not leave us nor forsake us. He is a faithful God.
- He is always present when we are in great trouble.
- Sometimes our trusted friend is not present to help us, but thanks to God for He is always with
us.

- I believe that this is one of many reasons that we should trust the LORD our God and not to
worry our own welfare, for He is always present with us and He will take care our concerns.
IV. GOD CONTROLS THE EVENTS OF THIS WORLD FOR THE GOOD OF HIS PEOPLE. 7:3-16.

- As a believer, each one of us has a reason not to worry for our God is the one who controls the
whole history.
- What will happen tomorrow is in the hand of the mighty God.

    - Rom.8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love
God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

A. Sometimes God uses even the unbelievers to provide the needs of His people. vv.1,5-7
        - This is a wonderful event in the history, that God used the Syrians to provide the needs of
God's people.
        - This event was not experienced by Elisha but with Jehoshaphat also.
        - The truth is that, there are many instances that God used unbelievers to provide the needs
of His children.
        - He is in control on everything.
        - What will happen it depends on Him.
ILLUSTRATION: Ptr. Mike Tapiahan

      - For how many years that God used the unbelievers to provide their needs.
      - Until now He still uses them.
      - I believe that each one experienced it.
      - Our God sovereignly rules over the whole creation.
      -
      - He uses the unbelievers to make things productive then give them to the righteous .

Prov 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, But the
wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
    -
- Are you worried? Why? Do you have not a God who is able?
kinahanglan.

B. Sometimes God uses the cast outs to provide the needs of His people. vv3-5,8-10
      - These lepers were outcasts and considered as useless members of the society.
    - God can use persons that we think they are useless and harmful.
    - God has no limitation. He can do great things through people who are useless in the sight of
man.

C. God is the sovereign ruler of this universe whose word are true and it will come to pass. v.1
He is in control of what
is happening on this world.
      - We need to trust the Lord. Don't live like a fatherless.
    - Rom.8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love
God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

CONCLUSION:
    - As a believer, each one of us should not worry for our condition, but trust the Lord our God,
who loves us so much.
