CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
Different generations have different awareness on child abuse, in an era there will be a prominent figure of idea that is taught to
many parents, an example to this is the rising popularity of “Gentle Parenting” as seen in plenty of social media contents such as
Tiktoks in todays era.
Another factor is religion. It is one of the underlying variable that might affect how parents educate their kids, some will openly
consider violence to convey superiority towards their child because it is what is taught in their religion. An example to this is the
umbrella of authority that shows that God covers all and the authority’s size and coverage shrinks the lower it gets, and finally the last
umbrella is the wife that is seen to have authority over their children which is seen to be submissive and should submit to their parents
(Davis, 2020)

Lastly, Social stature of the family may affect how parents perceive abuse and discipline. A lot of parents who are unfortunate
would have a mindset of child labor as a necessity to survive, children will then be forced to enter the workplace even at a young age
to be able to place food on their table. Parents see this as maturing, as having the discipline and mentality to struggle through
hardships, however others would see this as abuse as children should be enjoying their childhood instead of being burdened by their
financial obligations.
