g. Salient features / abstract of project A voice-controlled wheel chair is very convenient to
(Demonstrating Industrial / Societal problems) use for physically disabled person who cannot control
their hands movements. The powered wheel chair
uses motors for its movement and voice recognition
for voice commands. The voice command is given
through mic then transfer to Arduino Nano to
control wheel chair. Moreover, its circuit consists of
an Arduino and voice recognition V3
module. This system was designed and developed to
save time energy and cost of the disable.
Voice of the user is recognize by voice recognition
module and then it provides the data stored in
form of codes to Arduino microcontroller. Then
Arduino controls its movement accordingly. The
objective is design a system which make the life of
disable people easier.
h. Project Outcome Wheelchair is controlled by voice
i. Project Estimate 47,000 PKR
j. Has the Project been included in any No
National/International Competition (Yes/No)?
(If yes, then details of getting any prize or
certificate)
k. Innovation/development/improvement in the We wanted to introduce voice recognition system in
existing procedure implemented through the the wheelchair. For that purpose, we had to convert a
project. manual wheelchair into electrical wheelchair. So now,
the unique feature in our wheelchair is voice-
controlled feature and that is possible due to voice
module V3. As our wheelchair is electric and voice
controlled so we have moved a wheelchair towards
two step of advancement. It will hopefully bring
innovation in this field. Moreover, obstacle avoidance
sensors can be deployed to achieve another level of
innovation. Lidar can also be connected with wheel
chair for local mapping and easy to use for visually
impaired person
