Overview of Sociology

Sociology is the study of society, relationships, and interactions from a scientific perspective. It

is a vast area that includes both extensive theoretical study and fieldwork. Whatever your

educational level (BA or MA), sociologists is an interdisciplinary study with a wide range of

applications. Both the private and public sectors provide a wide range of choices. Sociology's

starting point is the interaction between individuals and society, and it subsequently broadens to

cover the social organisations that have an impact on our lives as well as the factors that affect

how effectively they function. It seeks to make clear who built these organisations, how people

perceive them, and what purpose they have in our lives.
