Leadership Day 2019

May 22, 2019

Leadership Day is right around the corner. The information in this document will help
everyone understand the flow of the day, activities and students involved in helping.
Please read this thoroughly and let us know if you have any questions!

them participate in this exciting opportunity. We are hoping for 100%
participation from students, staff and community members!

Please look over these items and let us know if you have questions!

We are asking all staff and students wear their colored field day T-Shirts this day!

We would also ask that if you have not updated your goals/book count outside of your
doors, please do so. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. We look forward
to a great day! Thank you.

Student organized Walk-a-thon for St.
Jude’s hospital

**4th and 5th Grade students and


teachers will leave directly from the gym
to begin the walk (out the Kindergarten
doors). Students in other grade levels
9:30-10:30 Outdoors
can head out to join the walk at the
following times (out the Kindergarten
doors):
2nd & 3rd- 9:45
K & 1- 10:00
We will be ending the walk all together
in the bus loop. We will have a quick
dance party!
Building Tours
10:45-11:15 **Tours given by student lighthouse team Gymnasium
members; classes can resume normal

**Storytellers and Peace Poetry Winners
Students will report to the gym @ 11:00 am.
They will be treated to special lunch offered
to our guests. They will eat and perform in
the gymnasium throughout the guest lunch.
When they are done performing they can mix
and mingle with our guests.

Tiger Times Agenda Link - DRAFT

Walkathon

The students will exit the kindergarten doors and walk the sidewalk to West Court St and take
that to North Maple St, turn left onto Route 20A, then we will be walking the sidewalk along the
creek by the first grade doors. This will start with grades 5th & 4th and adding two grade levels
every 15 minutes.

We have signs that will be posted the morning of and there will be adults assisting along the
route to make sure the students stay on the sidewalk and don't run.

At 10:15 when the walk is finished we will all be gathering together to transition to the next
activity.
