2. what is the difference between Impetigo and psoriasis Provide 3 or more examples of
structures and/or functions affected in different ways by the 2 diseases?
Impetigo is a bacterial skin illness that is most frequent in children under the age of five.
Antibiotics are used to treat impetigo, the antibiotics can also aid in the prevention of
illness in others, also it is caused by two bacteria. In Impetigo, the arms, and legs are
most often affected, while psoriasis affected the lower back, elbows, knees, legs, soles
of the feet, scalp, and palms. On the other hand, Psoriasis is a skin condition that
creates red, itchy scaly patches on the knees, elbows, trunk, and scalp, among other
places. Psoriasis is a chronic (long-term) condition that has no treatment. It goes through
cycles, with flare-ups lasting a few weeks or months, then diminishing or going into
remission.
Impetigo: Arm, leg, and kidney (a complication of impetigo can usually lead to kidney
disease or kidney failure as the bacteria goes into the bloodstream).
Psoriasis: lower back, elbows, knees, soles of the feet, scalp, and palms. The organs
affected by the kidney are the heart and blood vessels leading to heart diseases and
stroke).
3. Of the two pathologies ( Impetigo and psoriasis ), which disease is the greater health
concern? Provide 3 specific reasons for your answer, in other words - justify your answer
using scientific information learned while performing research. Consider which disease
has more severe signs/symptoms and tissue damage as well as time to recovery, ease
of recovery, and any lasting long-term impairments.
