1. SYMBOL

abstract idea. Atau, penggambaran yang menyiratkan suatu ide, pendapat, perasaan, dan lain-

2. ALLEGORY
Allegory is like a story or depiction of something to convey something such as moral lesson or a
hidden meaning.
Example : Countless sacrifice, dozens of medals, and still the flame goes on. Means, no matter
how many dies or prevail, the war goes on. War, is unending.
3. IMAGERY
Imagery is descriptive languages used to appeal to a reader’s senses. Like using figurative
language to represent ideas, objects, or actions.
One as such is the imagery of love, coming from the phrase "no other thought Than to love and be
loved" stated by the heroine, Annabel Lee, who did not thought of anything else, demonstrates just how
overwhelming nature of this love.
There's also imagery of the poem's background setting, given by the phrase "Kingdom by the Sea" which
creates “a romantic, legendary quality for the narrative setting”
