DEFINITION OF PROOFREADING

Proofreading is the process of carefully examining a written document or text for errors,
inconsistencies, and typos in order to correct and improve its overall quality and accuracy. It
involves reviewing the document for grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, formatting, and
style errors.

EDITING
Editing refers to the process of revising, modifying, or reorganizing written, audio, visual, or
multimedia content to improve its clarity, coherence, effectiveness, and overall quality. It
involves reviewing and making changes to various elements of the content, such as structure,
grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, tone, flow, and accuracy.
