SMP20303 International Economics

Group Assignment Guideline

In a team 10 members:
Choose any topic related to international economics, such as determinants of
economic growth, determinants of foreign direct investment, etc. Your topic
must be approved by your instructor.

This guideline is intended to assist students who are taking international

economics to prepare their assignments in terms of formatting and writing
conventions. Students should refer closely to this guideline and seek
clarification from the instructor on specific matters relating to the
preparation of their assignments.

1. Introduction
● Provide your readers with a little background or basic
information about the topic you are covering.
● Give background information that will help your reader
understand your subject or see why it is important.
● Write the objective in one sentence

2. Highlight the issues

 Discuss each of them.
 Present an overview on real issues on the subject.

3. Analysis
 Provide tables/ graphs/ bar charts etc.
 Explain the tables
 Analysis must address the objective

4. Solutions Proposed
● Explain clearly.
● Provide suggestions based on the Issues

5. Conclusion:
● Include a summary of the main points.
● Provide opinions.

6. References
 Follow APA Style
Format of Submission:

Report
1. REPORT should be 15-20 pages ONLY.
2. Report should be written in English.
3. Font 12, Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing, justify & Page number.
4. Cover Page: UniMAP logo, Faculty name, semester, academic
session, Project Title, prepared by (full name and matric
number), group: prepared for (full name of your lecturer), date of
submission.
5. Content of the report:

● Analysis
● Solutions
● Conclusion
● References
6. Full report should be submitted by e-learning:

8. Softcopy submission is acceptable
9. Plagiarism should not exceed 20%
