DESCRIPTION

PCSJ is one of the prominent computer shops available in Mandaluyong that offers high-quality
services, a friendly, and competitive environment with an affordable price compared to other shops.
Despite our affordable price, we do not compensate for the comfort of our customers as we do have an
air-conditioned facility. PCSJ lets you out your full potential to be the best in your world (we are talking
games here).

LOGO

PCSJ LOGO has a simple meaning of it. PCSJ simply stands for Philip,
Charles, Senn, and Joepear as we are the ones who made this possible. As
for our slogan underneath the name of the computer shop. The reason
behind that slogan is everyone one of us has an inner monkey within us
and as we play competitively, we let ourselves shout or scream and
celebrate like a monkey as we win every battle we face in E-sport. At PCSJ
we support this kind of energy for our customers to enjoy the full-time
experience of the competitive scene.

BUSINESS LOCATION

PCSJ is located at G3RJ+R5P, Maestrang Pinang, Taguig, 1632 Metro Manila. The store is situated
on a bustling street in an urban area, making it easily visible to potential customers. Being located on a
main road, the store is particularly vulnerable to public attention, attracting a diverse range of
customers including teenagers and middle-aged individuals.

SERVICE OFFERED

PCSJ COMPUTER SHOP would only offer a premium gaming experience at a low price compared to the
other competitors, we also want customer satisfaction. We offer high-speed quality internet that will let
the user compete in high-level competitiveness in the gaming industry

BELOW IS THE INFORMATION ON OUR FLOOR PLAN

(FLOOR PLAN 18mx4m)

This is the best set-up that we come up with, based on the parameters that had been given,
basically, we put 6 long tables in the middle to cater to all 30 PC for a maximum occupation of space
without compensating comfort upon clients. Upon entering our shop on the left side you can locate our
server and inquire about information regarding us, on the right side we place a comfort room since we
assume that our clients would stay longer in our establishment.

The network diagram and connections

 a. In this LAN design, we use 2 desktop switch hubs, (24 ports and 16port), and we
connect the 21 PC directly to the 24 port switch, the first 2 slots are intended for the
2 ISP, and the 3rd slot is intended for the 16port switch, the other 9 PC plus server
PC has been connected to the 16 port switch, leaving us 5 open slots for expansion
in the future.

Electrical layout

The figure above represents the electrical layout of our computer shop, the circuit breaker is
located in the server room, and there are 5 connections from the circuit breaker, the 3 connection is
intended for the 30 PC, and each connection ends with 2 extension socket that has 5 slots that can
accompany 5 PC’s that means for 1 connection from circuit breaker supplies power to 10 PC’s
simultaneously, the 4 connection from circuit breaker supply power to the lights and devices inside the
server room, while the last connection supplies power to the light in restroom and aircon, overall to be
safe all devices are connected in parallel and only share main line (there are 5 lines in this plan). This is
to ensure that if 1 unit is damaged it does not affect other units even thou they are sharing the
connection.

IP address deployment
b. IP address range: 10.0.0.0/24
- We chose the address of 10.0.0.0/24 because it is not commonly used which reduces
the likelihood of conflicts with other networks. This address space is also easy to
remember and can be quickly recognized as a private IP address range. This IP address
range from 10.0.0.1 - 10.0.0.254.

c. Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

- 256 IP addresses are available in a Class A private IP address range with a subnet mask
of /24 (255.255.255.0). This range enables sub-netting to enhance network performance
and security into smaller pieces if necessary.
 d. Default gateway: 10.0.0.1
- The IP address of the switch or router which links the network's connection to the
internet or an additional network, which is commonly 10.0.0.1, is set as the default
gateway.
e. DNS server: 10.0.0.2
- The IP address of the server that offers DNS support for the network is specified as the
DNS server, and it is 10.0.0.2. Domain names are converted into IP addresses by DNS so
that computers can communicate with one another.
Note: all pc as their own unique IP address within the range and their subnet mask is 255.

ISP connection

Since our business focuses mainly on gaming services, we want to ensure that our client will get
a premium gaming experience as promised, to ensure that without compensating on our budget, we
agreed to make reduce the PC to 30pcs from our original plan of 60 PC, with 30 pc plus 1 for server, we
agreed to get 2 ISP such as PLDT (offers 600 Mbps) for back-up source and CONVERGE (800 Mbps) as our
main source, this is also in the recommendation of the existing computer shop that we had interviewed
in the past, they suggested to at least get two different ISP for security and liability.

V. Costing and ROI

RETURN OF INVESTMENT

The table below shows our target sales, the hourly rate for renting our computers would be 20
pesos, assuming 1 PC had been used continuously for 8 hrs. (multiply by 30/ since we had 30
computers) and multiply it by 30 days if the conditions mentioned above had been met, we are
confident that we can get our ROI within 11.12 months only
Recommendation

PCSJ is still an imperfect computer shop when it comes to maintaining its services, the owner
was recommended to get another ISP for the PCSJ to be ready to experience a loss of connection when
the primary ISP had a problem providing a quality and stable connection. Also, it was recommended to
reduce the number of PCs to lessen the expenses since having a lot of PCs is one of the causes why the
owner is not generating expected sales for daily sales. In addition ¾ of PCs have been only used the
entire day.

As per the manual, we are instructed to buy 60 PC, but after trial and error we clearly see that
buying such amount of computers would only lead to the closure of the business, as it only takes almost
80 percent of the capital just by buying 60 computers, we would like to observe first the flow of
customer so we can adjust what was needed to be done in order for us to raise the sales on a daily basis,

Conclusion

In conclusion, there are many things to be considered to generate sales daily that may cause delay in our
ROI. Further studies are needed to conduct thoroughly to eliminate losses in this business.

The following variables had been great contributors to losing sales such as:

- Power outage
- ISP issues(sudden disconnections, erratic connection)
- Weather(rainy, thunderstorms, Causes inconvenience thus losing customers)
