Public service plays a crucial role in the development of Sri Lanka and has many
positive effects on the country. Some of these positive impacts include improved
access to basic services. That is, public service delivery in Sri Lanka has helped
improve access to basic services such as healthcare, education, water and
sanitation for the country's citizens. Sri Lanka’s public services have contributed to
the country's economic development by providing infrastructure, creating
employment opportunities and promoting entrepreneurship. Also, Sri Lanka’s
public service programs under social welfare, financial assistance to vulnerable
groups such as the elderly, disabled and low-income families, it has helped improve
social welfare by providing food subsidies and housing assistance, and by disaster
management. The public service has played a crucial role in disaster management,
providing relief and support to the affected communities who have faced natural
calamities. Therefore, the public service of Sri Lanka continues to be essential in
this field to ensure sustainable growth and equitable development of the country.

Public service refers to activities and jobs which are provide from by a government,
specially through the civil service such as health care, transport, electricity. The
government should pay a major role in responding to terrorism and natural
disasters, ensuring food and medicine are safe, and the immigration system.
Maintaining country's infrastructure, protecting the environment, strengthening
the economy, and ensuring access to education were also considered important
government priorities. There are drawbacks also here the service of government.
Inefficiency, wastage, service qualities are the things that we are going to explain
and offer our opinion in its overall impact.

These are negative effects of the public service. They are often criticized for being
bureaucratic and slow to adapt to changing demands. These organizations are
frequently criticized for their inefficiency and waste of taxpayer funds. Such
organizations are frequently accused of being reluctant to change and lacking the
private sector’s creativity and adaptability. These are frequently exposed to
political intervention, which can lead to choices being taken for political rather than
practical reasons. These organizations are frequently subject to stringent
restrictions and monitoring, which might hinder their capacity to
operate efficiently.

In conclusion, while public service has its drawbacks, i believe that its benefits are
more than the negative effects. However, it has helped improve social welfare by
providing food subsidies and housing assistance to continue the process we have
to bear a high cost, but it is important to continue the public service process.
