Inline with Dubai Customs strategy towards protecting the economic, social and
environmental security, with the aim of following up the latest updates related to the
prohibited and restricted goods and recognizing the vital role Customs plays in the
practical implementation of prohibition and restriction which comes as part of the efforts
of the Legislations and Policies Division, Customs Tariff and Origin in introducing the
prohibited and restricted goods list, the significance of the Prohibition and Restriction
Section is presented in providing a clear picture about the adopted procedures at Dubai
Customs with regards to implementing prohibition and restriction meeting the
international standards. The Prohibition and Restriction Section aims to regulate rules
and principles of prohibiting or restricting goods ensuring accurate execution in alignment
with the GCC Customs Unified Law as well as other related laws and systems.
