"I SING"

My family noticed that I could sing when I was young, so they

encouraged me and introduced me to singing competitions. I have
been exposed to performing in front of a crowd. Since then, I have
loved music, especially singing. Now, I can't imagine my life without
music. Just imagine the world without music—how dull and lifeless
it would be. The photo I have chosen is a candid shot of me
performing while holding the microphone and staring at the crowd
in Oval Plaza for the Battle of the Bands of Paskuhan in GenSan.
That night will live on in my memory.

Looking at the photo made me feel and realize that every time I
perform, I feel alive, able to feel how my heart beats and activates
my adrenaline in my body, which is where ecstasy begins. I've been
in a band since 2021 and have already performed five times. And
our Paskuhan performance in GenSan has a special purpose
because it became a performance for a cause after one of our
bandmates was involved in an accident, and at that time the entire
band was conditioned and eager to get the prize. It was made even
more special by seeing my friends and families come out to
support us that night. When I hold the microphone, it's like holding
my dream, and when I perform, it's like living in the moment. I am
truly grateful that I am able to express myself through the lyrics I
sing and the moves I perform. And I believe what Louis Armstrong
said: "Music is life itself."
