Daisy, the Stubborn Girl

Once upon a time, in a far away land, lived a little girl with her foster family. Her name was Daisy. she
was very friendly and cheerful. However, she was very stubborn. One day, before Daisy went to play
with her friend Jack, she asked permission from her foster mother who was knitting scarf and her foster
father who was working on his rice field.

Daisy : mom, dad, may I go playing in the forest with Jack?

Dad : What??? Forest? Oh, no no no. it is dangerous to be there nowadays.

Mom : It is true. There are a lot of wild animals, especially wolf inhabited in the forest.

Daisy : Aaah… Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll go there with Jack. He’ll save my life.

Dad : O o o kay, then. Please be careful and stay alert to your surroundings, my girl. You know, the
wolf may come anytime and anywhere

Daisy : Don’t worry about me, Dad. I'm a not a child anymore. I have grown up, right?

Mom : oh dear, because we love you so much, so you can go now. But, don’t forget to come home
before sunset. okay?

then, she and Jack left for the forest. On the way, Jack reminded her to be careful and stay alert for
safety, but Daisy ignored him. She was busy with her own business, picking some flowers here and
there.

Jack : Daisy, remember your parents' words. Be careful and stay alert.

Daisy : Don't worry, Jack. just like before, I always come home safely with you. The wolf can't target
me because you’ll keep me safe, right? hahaha

Jack just kept silent but actually he was worried about Daisy. He knew that the wolf was targeting her
from a distance. However, Jack didn't tell Daisy because he didn't want to make Daisy feel afraid.

Daisy : Jack, come on. Let’s play with the tree branches. Climb up and chase me. Okay?

Jack : Oh, okay. Why not?

Daisy : Jack, would you please pick me the apple for me?

Jack : Hmmm… it sounds great. We’ll not get hungry then.

They enjoyed a lot being in the forest and forgot her parents’ words. Suddenly, they found that the sun
set soon.

Jack: Oh my God. The sun started to set. It’s getting dark. Let's go home, Daisy.
Daisy: Aaahh, wait a minute, Jack. let me rest for a while, I'm so tired.

Jack: Well, I'll leave you here alone. let the wolf prey on you

Daisy refused to go home and kept being stubborn. Jack got more worried. Then, he pulled Daisy's hand.

Daisy: Ough! Wait a minute Jack, why are you such in a hurry? the wolf will not come to us. Trust me.

Jack just kept quiet and holding her hand as they ran away from the forest. How shocked Jack was when
he saw the wolf was already chasing them from a distance. Daisy didn’t know the wolf's existence. Jack,
who knows this, was silent as he continued to run and pray to God to be saved from the danger.

Finally, they arrived at Daisy's house which was blackout. It was dark and looked so lonely there. Then,
they called Daisy’s parents but nobody’s home. At first, Daisy and Jack thought that Daisy's parents
were going out of home and forgot to turn on the lamp.

Daisy : Jack, would you stay the night here.? I don't want to be alone at home, I'm afraid

Jack : O o o ok. I’ll be here until your parents come home.

Because they felt tired, they fell asleep soon. In the midnight, Jack woke up because of noisy people
outside. Then he came out and asked them what was happening. A man said that he had found pieces of
torn scarf stained with blood at Daisy’s father’s rice field.

Man : Jack, can you recognize whose scarf does it belong to?

Jack : Yeah. Yeah. It belongs to Daisy’s mom. I saw her knitting the scarf this morning when we left
for the forest.

The next day in the morning when Daisy opened her eyes, she found Jack was sending her the blooded
torn scarf of her mom. Daisy was shocked to realize that it was her mom’s scarf.

Daisy : Jack, why are you sending me the blooded scarf? Where is my mom and dad?

Jack : (crying) Daisy, your parents were caught by the wolf targeting us. He killed and ate them up.

Daisy : (surprised) WHAT?! MOM?! DAD?! Oh, Jack, I know you're lying, right?

Jack : It’s said that your parents died eaten by the wolf. The police had the investigation on that.

Daisy couldn't believe it but then she cried aloud. Finally, she began to realize the mistakes she made.

Daisy : Dady…. Momy…. Please forgive me for being stubborn so far. Huuuuu…

Since then, she took the most important moral value of her life. First, obey your parents’ words. Second,
don’t be stubborn for better life.
