Generator no-load saturation characteristic test 1.1. Purpose While a field circuit breaker is closed in with MEC mode at Steam Turbine generator rated speed and the action of the voltage build-up by manual operation is measured, a generator no-load saturation characteristic test is carried out by 70E operation, and it checks that itis normal. 1.2. Preparation 1) Carry out the completion of the Steam turbine starting and become (__)rpm fixed operation. 2) Make the following signal extraction preparations with the maintenance tool! - Generator voltage - Field current. 3) Change the 70R runback position during tests temporarily. 1.3. Process. 1) Select the AVR control mode to “EXCITATION MODE [MEC]” on OPS. 2) Operate “FIELD CIRCUIT BREAKER [CLOSE]" on OPS. 3) Supervise the related meters of OPS until generator voltage rises gradually and becomes stable. 4) Operate “70R-SETTER [RAISE]” on OPS adjust generator voltage for some value, and measure generator related data. (Maximum Generator voltage must be(_%) or less) Measuring and checking rotation at rated voltage. While turbine generator is operating no-load rated speed, Field circuit breaker is closed in MEC mode. the action of the voltage build-up, and checks that there is generator voltage to be stable. 2.2. Preparation. 1) Make the following signal extraction preparations with the maintenance tool. Generator voltage. - Field current. - MEC signal. -41E CLOSE signal. Recording cycle: (sec. 2.3. Process. 1) Confirm the AVR control mode to “EXCITATION MODE [MEC]” on OPS. 2) Confirm that the 70R position is situated in a run back position in maintenance tool. 3) Tum on “TRANSIENT RECORDING [RECORD]" on OPS. 4) Operate “FIELD CIRCUIT BREAKER [CLOSE]” on OPS, and at the same time turn on “TRANSIENT RECORDING [HOLD]” on OPS. 5) Supervise the related meters of OPS until generator voltage rises gradually and become stable. 6) Transmit transient phenomena recording data to the maintenance tool and save it to Memory device. 2.4. Judgment. Atthe time of a voltage build-up tests. 1) Generator voltage should be established smoothly. 2) An exaggerated shot of generator voltage should be less than( —)%(_—-KV), (VIE-ANN should not occur) At the time of a voltage descent test. 1) Generator voltage should descend smoothly. —As- TOSHIBA Field Test Procedure 3. AVR step response test. 3.1. Purpose. ‘While Steam Turbine generator is operating at rated speed, AVR is adjusted so that it may become a suitable response to very disturbance. 3.2. Preparation. 1) Check that each setting value of AVR should be as design directions. ~ AVR gain : Later - AVR phase compensation gain :Later ~ Active current compensation gai ~ Reactive current compensation gain : - AVR lead time constant('1) : Later ~ AVR lag time constant(T2):Later - AVR lead time constant(T3): Later - AVR lag time constant(T4): Later 2) Make the following signal extraction preparations with the maintenance tool. - Generator voltage. - Exciter field current. - AVR signal. - STEP signal. Recording span: (sec). 3.3. Process. 1) Confirm the AVR control mode to “EXCITATION MODE [MEC]” on OPS. 2) Operate “FIELD CIRCUIT BREAKER [CLOSE]” on OPS, and close the Field circuit breaker. 3) Supervise the related meters of OPS until generator voltage rises gradually and becomes stable. 4) Operate “70R-SETTER [RAISE]” on OPS adjust generator voltage when rated voltage. 5) Select AVR control mode to “EXCITATION MODE [AVR]” on OPS from “MEC” to “AVR”. 6) Adjust Generator voltage to( KV) by 90R-SETTER on OPS. a oe TOSHIBA Field Test Procedure 7) Carry out £2% step response test on OPS. 1, Tum on “TRANSIENT RECORDING [RECORD]” on OPS. 2. Tum on “STEP RESPONSE TESTI - },[2%] and [STEP INPUT]” on OPS. 3. After a record end, read data to the maintenance tool and save it to Memory Device. 4. Tum on “TRANSIENT RECORDING [RECORD]? on OPS. 5. Turn on “STEP RESPONSE TEST [RESET] on OPS. 6. After a record end, read data to the maintenance tool and save it to Memory Device. 8) Rising time is measured at +2% steps, and it judges. When not satisfying a standard, ‘The AVR PHASE COMPESATION GAIN is adjusted and it carries out again 9) Carry out 10% step response test like a ++2% step response test after an adjustment end. 3.4. Process. 1) Confirm that generator voltage is carrying out (KV) fixed operation in AVR mode. 2) The 90R position to minimum by “90R-SETTER ” on OPS. 3) Operate “9OR-SETTER [RAISE]” on OPS. It is referred to as 0.90, 0.95, 1.00 and 1.04PU, and the following item is measured, Generator voltage is set to(_)KV after a measurement end. Turn on “TRANSIENT RECORDING [RECORD]” on OPS. 2. Tum on “STEP RESPONSE TESTI + },[10%] and [STEP INPUT]” on OPS. 3. Purpose, ‘The AVR control channel change from A to B and from B to A at the time of generator no-load operation, and checks that generator voltage to be stable. 8.2. Preparation. 1) Connect the maintenance tool to AVR master controller. 2) Make the following signal extraction preparations with the maintenance tool. - Generator voltage. - Exciter field current. - AVR select signal. - Channel select signal. Recording cycle: (- see. 8.3. Process, 1) Confirm that generator voltage is carrying out (_)KV fixed operation in AVR mode. 2) Turn on “TRANSIENT RECORDING [RECORD]” on OPS 3) Tum on “TRANSIENT RECORDING [HOLD}” on OPS, at the same time it select “AVR CHANNEL [ BT” on OPS from “A” to “B” 4) Transmit transient phenomena data to the maintenance tool, and save to FD. 5) Check the AVR channel change data. After a record end, read data to the maintenance tool and save it to Memory device. 4, Tum on “STEP RESPONSE TEST [RESET]” on OPS. 9) Adjust reactive power to Lag]00Mvar by “90R-SETTER” on OPS. 10) Select “UEL TEST [OFF] on OPS. 11) Restore setting value, - UEL al SET : 2-35-01 RS1300 (OPU — 0.323PU) - UELb1 SET : 2-35-08 RS1302(OPU —* 0.051PU) - UEL a2 SET : 2-35-15 RS1304 (0PU — 0.323PU) - UEL b2 SET : 2-35-22 RS1306 (OPU — 0.051PU) 1.4. Judgment, 1) After UEL operated, Generator voltage and Reactive power were stabiles. 2) At the time of -2% step response test. Setting time: Ts<=(__)seconds.(after UEL operated) TOSHIBA Field Test Procedure 2.AQR Operating Test. 2.1. Purpose. It checks that confirm of AQR operating by SSR or 57R during 25% and 100% of each load operation, 2.2. Preparation. 1) Connect the maintenance tool to AVR master controller. 2) Make the following signal extraction preparations on OPS. - Generator voltage. ~ Reactive power. - Active power. - Power factor 2.3. Process. 1) Confirm that generator voltage is operating stably in AVR mode at the time of 25% and 100% load. 2) Adjust reactive power to OMVar by “90R-SETTER® on OPS. 3) Select “AQR [INSERVICE]” on OPS. 4) Adjust SSR setting values to(__)PF by SSR-SETTER on OPS. It checks power factor decreasing further near 0.98PF. 5) Adjust 55R setting values to(_)PF by SSR-SETTER on OPS. It checks power factor increasing further near 1.00PF. 6) Adjust 57R setting values to lag(__MVar by 57R-SETTER on OPS. It checks reactive power increasing further near lag 100MVar. 7) Adjust 57R setting values to (_)MVar by 57R-SETTER on OPS. It checks reactive power decreasing further near (_)MVar. 2.4. Judgment. 1) It checks that reactive power is controlled by 55R and 57R, 2) 90R and reactive power do not carry out cyclic by AQR, but it is controlled stably. TOSHIBA Field Test Procedure 3. PSS effective check test. 3.1. Purpose. It checks that the effect of PSS is suitable to dumping of the active power agitation by AVR step response during 25%,75% and 100% of each load operation, 3.2. Preparation 1) Connect the maintenance tool to AVR master controller. 2) Make the following signal extraction preparations with the maintenance tool. - Generator voltage, - Exciter field current. - Active power. ~ Reactive power. - PSS output. - PSS in service. - Step signal. Recording cycle: (__)see. 3.3. Process. 1) Confirm the AQR control mode to “AQR [OUT OF SERVICE]” on OPS. 2) Confirm that reactive power and generator voltage are operating stably in AVR mode. 3) Adjust reactive power to OMVar by “9OR-SETTER” on OPS. 4) Confirm “PSS [OUT OF SERVICE]” on OPS. 5) Carry out 3% step response test of PSS exclusion on OPS. 1. Turn on “STEP RESPONSE TEST [RESET]” on OPS. 2. Tum on “STEP RESPONSE TEST[ + },[3%] and [STEP INPUT]” on OPS. 3. After a record end, read data to the maintenance tool and save to memory device. 4. Check the data of the step response test of PSS exclusion. 6) Tum on “PSS [IN SERVICE] on OPS. 7) Carry out +3% step response test of PSS use on OPS. 1, Tum on “TRANSIENT RECORDING [RECORD]” on OPS. 2. Tum on “STEP RESPONSE TEST + },[3%] and [STEP INPUT]” on OPS. 3. After a record end, read data to the maintenance tool and save to FD. 4, Check the data of the step response test of PSS use. 5. Tum on “TRANSIENT RECORDING [RECORD]” on OPS. 6. Tum on “STEP RESPONSE TEST [RESET]” on OPS, 7. After a record end, read data to the maintenance tool and save to FD. 8. Check the data of the step response test of PSS use. Remarks As for the PSS effective check of 75% to 100% load, [Only PSS INSERVICE] carries out a test. 3.4, Judgment, 1) Dumping of active power agitation should be improved by having used PSS.
