Mother America

You promised me a good job,

You promised me a good pay,

You promised my family

To make her happy,

You promised me an easier, better and beautiful life

You promised me, for my loved ones, time.

But before all you made me one promise,

Freedom

Oh, Lady of liberty,

I thank you so hardly.

I’m now naturalized,

Finally an American citizen.

Here we find an honest mother,

Who draws a smile for my sons

And blooms roses in my garden.

When I woke up every morning,

I’m happier than the previous day.

The rain trought the window of my house

Remind me the fight to be here,

The troubles of the sea

And the anger of the sky,

Injuries on my body

And storm of doubt in my head.

But now I can behold a new sun,

Who realised my American dream
