What is Nails?
A nail is a flattish claw-like plate at the tip of
the fingers and toes which is
characteristically found on all primates. Nails
correspond to the claws found in other
animals. Fingernails and toenails are made of
a tough protective protein called alpha-
keratin, which is a polymer.

5 TYPES OF NAILS SHAPE:

1.) Square

2.) Round

3.) Oval

4.) Squoval

5.) Pointed
1.) SQUARE

Square nails are usually flat on top and have

straight corners. They are a good alternative for
short nails. This shape can be extremely flattering in
case you have narrow nail beds and slim fingers. The
maintenance of short square nails is quite easy
2.) ROUND

Similar to a square-shaped nail, round nails have

straight sides but are rounded off at the edges.
Round and almond shapes elongates your nail beds
to make them appear wider and more slender.
3.) OVAL

The classic oval nail shape is known for

being the most suitable style for
everyone. The curved edges mirror the
curve of the natural cuticle, making for a
super symmetrical look.
4.) SQUOVAL

It combines the neatness of a

straight square shade, with the
softness of an oval "the nail is
predominately square with
rounded edges."
5.) POINTED
When it comes to a pointed shape,
the sides are generally kept pretty
straight up until the top, when they
are filed into a triangular tip. As
with some of the other long nail
shapes, this one is best suited to
acrylics, as natural nails are more
likely to soften and break.

IMPORTANCE OF NAILS:
Your nails are there to protect your
hands, providing a strong shield as you
work with them each day, as well as a
barrier – the cuticle – which keeps out
environmental pollutants. Regular,
professional nail care ensures that
your nails stay strong so they can do
the job.
