This case is regarding transaction ID: 01423106187078472023-02-1500001

I was charged $250.00 on 02/14 by Avis rental car company. Avis claimed this charge was a
cleaning fee due to discovering smoke smell in the car at the conclusion of my rental. I also
noticed the smoke smell when picking up my rental car, but there was no way for me to trade
the car for a clean car due to lack of available vehicles on the rental lot. Therefore, I let the
agent at the exit gate know that the car smelled of smoke prior to leaving with the car and this
was noted on the contract by the gate agent prior to me leaving the lot.

I phoned Avis rental car company on 03/08 to dispute this charge and Avis agreed to refund the
fee. I have attached a copy of the letter I received via email from Avis on 03/08 that indicates
they reversed the fee and would refund the $250.00. However, the refund has not posted on
the account. I phoned Avis on 04/06 and was told the refund had already been processed and I
explained that it has not been processed and they told me to call the bank and that there was
nothing more they could do. Hence, I opened this charge dispute with USBank.

Attached is a copy of my rental receipt and the refund email and letter. Please let me know if
