Integrative Paper

Legal Aspect is a crucial aspect that individuals and businesses must understand to ensure
that they abide by the law. In this essay, I will discuss what I learned in Legal Aspect class,
including topics covered in class such as the Law of Obligation, Law of Partnership,
Cooperatives and Corporation, Common Carriers and Travel Agents Laws, and Types of
Employees.

Our professor Ms. Melva Lorenzo Porbolan did an excellent job handling the subject
matter by providing clear explanations and practical examples for each topic covered in class.
The professor also encouraged critical thinking by asking thought-provoking questions during
discussions.

The Law of Obligation refers to the legal relationship between two parties that are bound
by some sort of duty or promise. Contracts and torts are two key concepts within this area.
Contracts refer to legally binding agreements between two or more parties that outline specific
obligations or terms. Torts involve harm caused to another person due to negligence or intent.
For instance, if someone slips on a wet floor in a store due to negligence on behalf of the store
owner causing them injury resulting from medical bills etc., it can be classified under tort laws.

Partnerships, cooperatives, and corporations are different types of business entities with
varying ownership structures regulated by law. A partnership involves two or more individuals
who agree to share profits and losses equally while cooperatives refer to organizations owned
collectively by members who receive shared benefits based on their contributions. Corporations
have shareholders who own shares representing ownership interests; however corporate officers
run the company's day-to-day operations rather than shareholders directly controlling decisions
made for those companies.

Common carriers provide transportation services for passengers or goods while travel
agents facilitate travel arrangements (e.g., bookings) between clients/customers and
airlines/transportation companies. Laws regulate common carriers like liability laws when
customers' goods get lost/damaged during transit time; similarly, there are consumer protection
laws that travel agents need to follow...
Types of employees include regular employees (full-time), probationary employees
(temporary), seasonal employees, fixed term overseas workers among others. The legal rights of
each category vary according to the country's labor laws as well as employment contracts. For
instance, regular employees are usually entitled to benefits like paid leaves while seasonal
employees may not be eligible for these perks.

In conclusion, studying Legal Aspect has provided me with valuable knowledge on

essential topics that individuals and businesses need to adhere to. The course taught me about
Law of Obligation, Law of Partnership/Cooperatives/Corporation, Common Carriers and Travel
Agent Laws, Types of Employees including their legal rights etc. Moreover, I gained insight into
how law shapes our daily lives and how it is important to comply with such regulations in order
to prevent any undesired consequences.

I appreciate my professor's effective teaching style which enabled us to comprehend

complex topics easily by providing practical examples from everyday life or work scenarios. My
only suggestion to my professor would be; to instill a growth mindset and view us “student” that
our learning is fluid and changing, and keep aiming to develop student’s skills and talents
through effort and persistence.
