Installation, Continued

Verification Follow this procedure to verify the performance of the analyzers upon installation:

Step Action
1. After the installation of SP and SC the analyzer automatically goes
into System Cycle Mode, which takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
During this state the analyzer performs a multitude of internal checks
to ensure that it works correctly.
Furthermore the analyzer conditions the sensors, performs calibrations
and check of quality control (no QC check in ABL80 Basic).
2. Verify that the analyzer goes to Ready with a green parameter bar.
Startup time for a new Sensor Cassette may be up to 20 minutes.
The analyzer continues to condition the sensors and perform
calibrations and measure quality control.
3. Wait for the parameter bar to become green for all parameters.
4. Perform a tHb calibration if the analyzer is an ABL80 CO-OX/OSM
as per the Instructions for use and verify that the results are
acceptable.

Installation Once the analyzer has been running for 72 hours please fill in the Installation
Report Report and submit it to RMED.
