Frankenstein has been used in many contexts

Science article -> a journal of medicine

he ran away, he went to bed, and he had a nightmare.

He refuses to take responsibility

He created life and then he abandoned it.

We think he is a coward, he is a great scientist but a bad human being.

According to the journalist, scientist innovations brings the risk of “monstruous consequences” if

humans doesn’t take a particular attention on security.

In Frankenstein, science is a really important subject and the creation of Frankenstein is a really

fabulous innovation. But after his creator abandoned him and become being afraid of his creature,

Frankenstein became angry.

2) What was Frankenstein compared to in real life ? Why ? (paragraph 1 and 2)

What are the general feelings about new discoveries ?

He is compared with organ transplantation, in-vitro fertilisation, engineering, animal cloning,

Frankenfoods” (GMO => OGM Organismes Génétiquement modifies)

Because he is a great argument against progresses

The scientist was first anxious, he didn’t knew if it will work, and after the first move of his creature, he

became happy, and found it incredibly beautiful. Then he start to be appalled, and the monster that

was at first feeling love and kindness, began to be angry and unethical because of the reject of his

creator.

Bilan :

Frankenstein has been compared to many news experiments and technologies, such as (au lieu de

“comme” as always) in vitro fertilization, organ transplantation and genetically modifies organisms

(GMOs) : they are all elements that alter the body and genetic composition of organisms. Frankenstein

reflects feelings of danger and anxiety regarding the new technologies but also enthusiasm about the

progress of science.

The monster was initially kind and could potentially love. However, he was rejected and became

vengeful. Frankenstein is an example of the ethical limits of science.

Phylanthropy is the action of giving money or helping a group of underprivileged people.

Phylanthropy can be used as advertising because it gives a positive image of a brand, customers are

convinced that by buying from a brand they are helping underprivileged people. It helps the company

with public relationship (PR).

However, sometimes corporations use it as a shield against criticism and don’t fully embrace theyr

charity policy

I disagree with Religion, because for me, Religion is receiving to much money instead of Health or

Environment. Believing in god is a great thing, but did god want his people to die or his Earth to be

destroyed by his creation ? Probably not.

A large portion of donations also go to religion, which shows that it’s a very popular topic for donators.

It represents the majority of / most of the donations with almost 1 third of the total.

An increase =/= a decrease
