2 main types of jobs:

1. Physical work – these people need some skills,
tools, power, energy and stamina (výdrž) –
a plumber, a builder, a mechanic, a hairdresser
2. Mental work – a higher and longer education,
a better job – a teacher, a lawyer, an architect,
a judge, a politician + artists

Factors (choice of job)

1. Interest, hobby

3. Experience, skills
4. Background (parents, friends, comfort, distance,
place of birth)
 5. Working time (flexible, stable)
6. Money
7. Education – school results

Working time:
1. Full-time job – 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week,
benefits: vacation and sick days, health insurance,
a car or a mobile phone
2. Part-time job – 3 hours per day, only during the
weekend, no serious/big benefits

Working time:
1. Fixed work schedule
2. Flexible work schedule – 20 hours per week
3. Rotating shift work schedule – a cycle of
employees – day-night shifts, short-long shifts

- It takes more time than you think
