The main point the author wanted us to understand from her work is the importance of
studying shake speare in highschool and university

a. Which points made in the blog did you agree or find easy to accept? Why? (3

A point in the blog that I agree with is when she says “we cite Shakespeare even when we
don't realize it”. I agree with this because we often use phrases Shakespeare created such as
“Being in a pickle” without even realizing it, this phrase means to be stuck in a difficult
situation.

b. With which points of the piece did you disagree or find difficult to believe? Why?

A point in the blog i find difficult to believe and disagree with is when the blogger says
“Audiences today can connect onstage and with his words on the page” I disagree with this
because the world is much much different than 400 years ago so i dont really believe that you
can relate with so something that was written 400 years ago.

5. Explain in complete sentences if you agree or disagree with the following statement:
“Shakespeare’s language is gorgeous, his characters complex and the
themes—love, honor, betrayal, envy, jealousy, fear, pride, lust, grief—are all
issues that matter to us today,”

I agree with the this statement because ove, honor, betrayal, envy, jealousy, fear,
pride, lust, grief are all emotions we feel to this day. I can relate to this because i
to have felt fear, an example of me feeling fear is when i saw a spider on my wall
right when i was about to fall asleep.
