The Haunted House

Written by: Lee Parker Illustrated by: Mila Wills

Syahirah and Rani are best friends. They are also classmates. One day, while they were walking
home from school they heard someone crying in an abandoned house. Out of curiosity, they walked
towards the house. The cries became louder so they decided to enter the house.

As they entered, they felt something strange in the house. Suddenly, Syahirah felt someone
strangling her but could not see anyone. She was breathless and started to shiver. When Rani saw
Syahirah’s face turning pale, she quickly pulled her and they ran out of the house as fast as they
could.

The next day, they told their friends about their eerie experience in the abandoned house. Aisha,
one of their friends told them that the house was haunted. Both Syahirah and Rani fainted.

child’s name. Thirdly, tell your child, if a stranger touches her, she must scream to attract

Dear _________

I heard that you want to buy me a pet. I am so excited. I would

like to have a sugar glider because it looks very cute. It only
drinks nectar and fresh fruits. I can easily get its food from the
supermarket. The sugar glider costs RM200 but I know you can
afford it. It is easy to take care as it only needs a dry bath once a
week. I hope you will buy the sugar glider for me.

Thank you in advance.

Bye.

Your brother,
