Which tense do I use?
Present perfect to speak about work experience up to the present moment
or to talk about recently finished actions, or actions which have a strong
connection with the present situation.
“I have always enjoyed working with people.”
“I have worked freelance for my whole career so far, so I really want to
work as part of a team now.”
Present simple to discuss current job responsibilities
“I speak fluent Japanese and Korean.”
Present continuous to talk about something we are doing now.
“I’m working on a project with a company based in the UK at the moment.”
Past simple to discuss finished actions
“I studied engineering at the University of Bristol.”
