Welcome to the Student Work Placement Program

What is the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP)? Funded by the Canadian government, the SWP Program provides
subsidies for employers to hire postsecondary students for paid work experiences. Students benefit because they get
quality work experiences in their chosen field.

Who is Magnet? Magnet is a non-profit organization that is part of Toronto Metropolitan University. Magnet is the
organization that delivers the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP).

Why am I asked to share information about my identity? What are the benefits? Magnet wants everyone to have a
chance to benefit from work experience, especially groups that haven’t always had as many opportunities to do so. Your
responses will help us achieve this goal by enabling continuous program improvement.

Why am I asked to complete a consent form? Your consent is required to participate in SWPP.

How will the information I share be used? Your information may be shared with a restricted number of staff at your
