Dear Mrs.

Mahoney,

My name is Madeline Stewart and I am a junior at Ripon high school. I heard about this job offer
from Pastor Dan Chapin, who informed me that the middle school group was in need of an
intern. My positive attitude and experience in church makes me confident that I will be an
excellent role model for the kids and that I can be a positive influence.

Through my experience in Future Farmers of America, I have developed my public speaking

skills and am able to work with a wide variety of people. I have completed a variety of tasks in
the organization, giving me the versatility to be able to complete a wide range of tasks. In
addition to gaining a wide range of work experience, I have also gotten to organize events with
large amounts of people. This has helped me develop my communication and organizational
skills.

Participating in the Miss Ripon contest gave me a broader perspective on the needs of my
community. I was able to be a positive role model throughout the contest and was eventually
voted Miss Congeniality by my other contestants. I hope to bring that same positivity to the
Crossroads middle school program.

I have attached a copy of my resume and would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to
further discuss my qualifications. Thank you for considering my application.

Sincerely,

Madeline Stewart
